I think i will answer this in my first and maybe last journal
I'm a DnD DM, DnD is a pen and paper RPG and a DM is a Dungeon Master. I want to illustrate my campaign a bit, the players shall be able to understand what i try to discribe and so im searing for good spots, char designs and also for Maps. And thats the whole story, because of my poor artist skills i stalk all the great and not that great artists on DA and FAV all pictures i think i will be able to use. In many cases i see a picture and get an idea for my campaign. to give you an example:
DM: "yes, uuhm, well, their is a group of four undead, you think two are mighty warriors,
one seems to be a Lich wizard with a black staff in his hands and the last one is also a dark guy who might be something like a necromancer..."
well... i think you have no idea how they look like, maybe you try to imagine something, but thats quite hard with just a few seconds of explanation and if i take more time for it, most of my players will fall asleep or just do other stuff. so i do this:
DM: "You guys see a couple of undead, and they look like them: *show pictures*"
